Galthie's work rewarded with contract extension

Fabien Galthie’s sterling work with Les Bleus has been rewarded with a contract extension which will see him at the helm until 2027. 

It was a joyous weekend for French rugby as they can were crowned 2022 Six Nations Champions after a campaign devoid of defeat. 

“It’s done. It’s going to be extended until 2027,” FFR vice-president Serge Simon said. 

“When you are lucky enough to have something that is so obviously right, you have to keep hold of it.” 

Galthie, whose previous contract was set to conclude after the 2023 World Cup, has proved himself to be a remarkable influence as the French celebrate their first Six Nations title since 2010.
