Fin Baxter starts New Year's Day clash for Quins

Harlequins’ coaching group has named the matchday squad to face Northampton Saints on New Year’s Day this Sunday – 15:00 kick-off, Cinch Stadium at Franklin’s Gardens.

A new-look front row sees props Fin Baxter and Simon Kerrod join hooker Jack Walker, while Dino Lamb returns to the matchday squad to partner George Hammond in the second row.

At the back of the scrum, flanker Tom Lawday starts at openside flanker to replace Will Evans this week, joining Archie White and matchday captain Alex Dombrandt to complete the back-row.

One change to the backline sees scrum-half Lewis Gjaltema join Tommy Allan in the halfback department, with Danny Care taking up a spot amongst the Impact Players.

Looking to make his first Gallagher Premiership appearance of the season, Luke Wallace joins the matchday squad to wear the 20 jersey.

Harlequins will look to return to winning ways at Franklin’s Gardens, having tasted defeat during their last Premiership visit in April. Quins have won five of the last six meetings with the Saints in the league.
