Matt Symons also retreated to the sin bin in the closing stages as his cynical foul allowed MacGinty to make it seven from seven.

AJ MacGinty settled a scrappy contest against Harlequins in Sale Sharks' favour as he kicked seven penalties in a 28-17 home win on Friday evening.
Although MacGinty got all the plaudits for his performance Faf de Klerk's try-saving tackle on his opposite number, Danny Care, proved to be a pivotal moment of the match.
The Harlequins enjoyed a lively start to the match with Mike Brown scoring in the third minute of the match and with the Harlequins firing Care broke through the defence but failed to beat Faf de Klerk and score with the Springbok scrumhalf rolling the English scrumhalf doing superbly well to hold him up.

From there MacGinty would slot three penalties before Jack Clifford went over for the visitors. MacGinty slotted a further two penalties and secured his side a five-point lead at the interval when he converted Byron McGuigan's breakaway try.
The theme simply continued after the break with more accurate MacGinty kicking.
Marcus Smith dispatched a penalty at the other end, but that was followed by a moment of ill-discipline from Kyle Sinckler who has yellow carded for hitting Faf de Klerk in the chest.
