Exeter Chiefs 16 Bath 6: Match report

Exeter Chiefs put their Premiership Bath hoodoo to bed as they overcame their rivals in a scrappy game at Sandy Park.

Henry Slade kicked 11 points while Will Chudley scored a late try to hand the hosts a memorable victory - their first over Bath in 10 Premiership meetings - and overhaul their opponents in the standings.

Tom Homer kicked all of Bath’s points in a match in which the result will last much longer in the memory than the game itself.

A desperately scrappy first half saw the visitors head in 6-3 to the good thanks to Homer’s two penalties, which sandwiched one effort from Slade.
