Ethan Blackadder back for the Crusaders

Ethan Blackadder back for the Crusaders

The Crusaders have named their squad for the first of two home games to close out the regular season.

Our boys will do the jersey proud when they take the field on Saturday night against the Blues. Does it get any bigger than the ol’ North v South derby?

Codie Taylor continues his return to form and will captain the side from the front row – joined by Joe Moody and Fletcher Newell to make it an all All Blacks front row.

Antonio Shalfoon gets his second start in the jersey at lock alongside Quinten Strange.

The loose forward trio is looking stronger than ever with Ethan Blackadder back in the 7 jersey, Cullen Grace and Christian Lio-Willie providing strength.

Noah Hotham earns another start at halfback, with Fergus Burke fit and ready to slot goals and call plays across the paddock.

Sevu Reece and Chay Fihaki will dance down the wings at left and right respectively, with David Havili at second five and Levi Aumua back from injury at centre.

Johnny McNicholl will call the shots from fullback after a stellar season so far.

We’re looking at a replacement front row of George Bell, George Bower and returning All Black Tamaiti Williams.

Jamie Hannah and Tom Christie will join the forwards pack from the pine, Mitch Drummond, Taha Kemara and Dallas McLeod set to also make an impact when their time comes.

It’s always a huge occasion when we face the Blues, even more so when we’re home. Don’t miss your chance to catch our boys in one of our last games at home this season.
