Cullen issues exciting news in Leinster injury update
- 2209
Leinster’s head coach Leo Cullen has shed light on his team’s injury situation as the mammoth semi-final clash against Munster looms.
Fans will be encouraged with the information that the rugged Rhys Ruddock came through the Ulster game with no complications with his quadriceps and looks set to be in good knick for the semis.
Tadhg Furlong will be assessed this week with regard to his back injury and a decision will be made closer to the time.
Along with Furlong, perhaps the biggest news for Leinster is that James Ryan and Dan Leavy could play a part in the weekend’s action as Cullen confirmed that they have both turned the corner as far as their injuries are concerned.
Fergus McFadden is making definite progress with his calf injury and has started running again. He will not, however, be available for this weekend’s encounter.
Updates on Vakh Abdaladze (back), Dave Kearney (hamstring), Conor O’Brien (hamstring) and Adam Byrne (hamstring) are still forthcoming.
