The Crusaders have been dealt an injury blow ahead of their Super Rugby playoff match against the Sharks this weekend with All Black loosehead prop Joe Moody being been ruled out of their quarter-final against the Sharks with a knee injury.
Moody suffered the injury against the Highlanders earlier this month and subsequently missed the Crusaders 54-17 victory over the Blues on Saturday.
The Crusaders have also confirmed that Kieran Read and Ryan Crotty are expected to fit to face the Sharks after both players left the field with injuries against the Blues.
Read suffered a wrist injury in the first half and did not return for the second half, while Crotty injured his thumb shortly after the break and was replaced by Braydon Ennor.
