Crusaders Ease Past Jaguares To Make It Three Super Rugby Titles In A Row

New Zealand giants the Crusaders claimed their 10th Super Rugby title and also their third in a row on Saturday morning as the beat the Jaguares 19-3 in Christchurch.

The game started with a few simple errors as both teams came out firing with their defence. The first 10 minutes was a cagey affair and played mostly in the middle of the park.
The first points of the game came in the 15th minute when the Jaguares were awarded a penalty which they decided to kick for poles (Bonilla penalty conversion).
After large amounts of territory and possession the Saders did manage to score the opening try of the match, in the 24th minute Kieran Read pounced on a loose ball from the ruck and offloaded to Whitelock who ran down the touch and put Codie Taylor in space to score.
Towards the end of the first half, the Jaguares did have an opportunity to score a try of their own but David Havili came to the rescue with a try saving tackle on the like.
In the last minute of the match the New Zealand outfit was awarded a penalty and Richie Mo’unga went for posts to make it 10-3 at the break.

The second half started a bit like the first but it was the Jaguares who had came close to scoring the first try of the half. Unfortunately for them there was another outstanding tackle on the try line which saw them spill the ball forward.
In the 50th minute, the Crusaders thought they got over the line with an impressive drive over the try line but the TMO rightly adjudged it as a not try as the ball was held up by the Argentines.
The Saders kept piling pressure on the Jaguares and the scoreboard pressure started to take its toll as Mo’unga converted a penalty in the 53rd and 57th minute of the match.
The quality of the game took a bit of a dip when both sides started making multiple amount of changes and its fair to say a 74th minute penalty from Mo’unga sealed the game for the Crusaders.
