Conor Murray is the new British and Irish Lions Captain

Conor Murray has been announced as the man to captain the British and Irish Lions after Alun Wyn Jones has pulled out following an injury he picked up against Japan. Murray is somewhat a surprise selection after many thought Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje and Ken Owens were in the running.

Both Alun Wyn Jones and Justin Tipuric suffered tour ending injuries and have been replaced by Adam Beard and Josh Navidi.
