Springbok flanker Oupa Mohoje is set to return to action for the Cheetahs in their PRO14 clash with Leinster in Bloemfontein on Friday.
Mohoje has been sidelined since injuring his rib in a Currie Cup clash against the Blue Bulls in August, but now the 17-Test Bok is back in the selection mix.
"Oupa will definitely be considered," Cheetahs coach Rory Duncan told Netwerk24.
"A player of his calibre will add a lot of value to the team … it's nice to finally have him back."
The Cheetahs have also released Clayton Blommetjies, Ali Mjima, Zee Mkhebela, Joseph Dweba and Chris Dry from the Pro 14 squad and will be available for Currie Cup selection.
Meanwhile, Cheetahs flyhalf Fred Zeilinga has returned to training after undergoing hip surgery and utility-back Niel Marais is back training in the gym recovering from a shoulder knock.
