Tyler Bleyendaal
The New Zealander was incredible today at outhalf for Munster. He started the scoring off early with a fantastic try which he then converted, following a clever offload from Keith Earls. He controlled the pace and tempo of this game from the outset and displayed gret maturity in his game with good game management in what was a very emotional occasion for the Munster men. He was 5/5 from the tee including two very difficult kicks form the touchline. He was the worthy winner of the man of the match award. At 26 years of age and with a lot of rugby left in his legs he looks a real prospect at 10 for Munster moving forward, and you really feel that toay was just a glimpse of the total package he can offer.
David Smith
The veteran winger played out of his skin today in Castres' comprehensive victory over Northampton Saints. He tormented and troubled the Saints defence from start to finish, scoring two tires as well as creating another with an incredible offload for Alexandre Bias. He displayed his blstering pace and great footwork throughout the game and left the Northapton defenders for dead time and time again. In what was one of Castres' best performances in a long time Smith was the stand out player and was truly in a league of his own at Stade Pierre Antoine today and the Northampton men will not be looking forward to seeing the New Zealander again any time soon.
David Strettle
A certain Clermont player that impressed this afternoon is winger David Strettle who scored probably the best of eleven tries with a beautiful piece of individual skill to chip, collect and dot down . Awarded man of the match, he posed a constant threat coming in off the wing and the 33 proved there is plenty of pace left in those legs.
