Black Ferns and Red Red Roses set for showdown at Allianz stadium

With a capacity of 82,000, the London fixture has the potential to break the world record for the largest crowd ever for a women’s rugby Test. The current record stands at 58,498 for the England v France clash at the same venue in 2023. The largest ever crowd for women's rugby was achieved during the Paris Olympics when 66,000 turned out for the women's sevens at Stade de France. 

Black Ferns wing Ruby Tui, a star of the 2022 World Cup final, expressed her excitement, stating, "It's world champions versus world number one... My mouth is watering." The Black Ferns, who have a history of beating England in five World Cup finals, are eager to once again prove their dominance on the global stage.

However, the Red Roses, under the guidance of former All Blacks coach John Mitchell, will be looking to build on their recent 38-19 victory over France as they prepare for the WXV1 tournament in Canada. England’s Natasha Hunt acknowledged the challenge ahead, noting that the match will be "feisty" as both teams bring their best to the field.

With a rich history of fierce competition, this match promises to be an epic showdown that could set the stage for another chapter in women's rugby history.
