2018 Super Rugby Round Seven: Chiefs vs Highlanders

The Chiefs edged the Highlanders 27-22 in round 7 of Super Rugby. The Chiefs built up a 6-0 lead with two penalties, but the Highlanders ran in the opening try to lead by a single point. The Chiefs would have the final say in the first half with a try on the stroke of halftime giving them a 13-7 lead at the break. The Chiefs got off to the perfect start in the second half with an early try seeing them take control at 20-7.  A shift in momentum saw the Highlanders storm back with two tries and a penalty in between to hit the front 22-20 with a little over 15 minutes to play. The Chiefs responded as they crossed for their third try soon after and ground out the remaining ten minutes to hold on for a hard fought victory.
