Starting off his senior rugby with Eastern Province in the 2001, Beukes then moved to South Western Districts in 2002 for three seasons. Signing with the Leopards in 2005, Naude then headed to Massy in France in 2006. Oyonnax signed the big second rower for the 2007/2008 season and spent four seasons with the club until his 2011 move to Grenoble.
