Mozac Samson was born in Fiji and began playing rugby at an early age. After moving to Calgary, Alberta in 2005 to continue his education, he began playing for the Calgary Saints Rugby Football Club and Prairie Wolf Pack in 2009. He was part of the Canadian Sevens training squad from 2011 until 2015 before he was called up in 2016 to the Canadian 15s squad to play in the Americas Rugby Championship. In 2015, he won the Canadian Rugby Championship with the Prairie Wolf Pack while earning the title of top try scorer for the tournament.
