Munster take a 13-7 lead over Wasps into halftime. Munster opened the scoring with an early penalty to lead 3-0, with Wasps missing a shot at goal shortly after. Wasps then picked up a red card after 25 minutes, with Munster missing the penalty but being successful almost immediately to make it 6-0. Wasps hit back with the game's first try around the half hour mark to lead 7-6. Munster responded five minutes from halftime with their first try to regain the lead 13-7 at the break. Wasps will start the second half with 13 players after picking up a yellow card on the stroke of halftime.
