The half time whistle blows, and both teams head for the changing rooms. After a slow start to the game, Ulster have eventually found their rhythm. Since the 24th minute, the points have steadily accumulated and now Dragons face the difficult task of closing a twenty four point gap. Can anyone see the comeback?
Super tommy. Welcome back. Well done.
Try number three comes three minutes later. Ulster boot the ball downfield, and send the chasers after it. Huge pressure by Nelson forces a poor clearance kick by the Dragons. The ball falls kindly for Tuohy in the twenty two who initiates the attack, which then culminates in the try.
Ulster find themselves in the Dragons half, battering against the Dragons defence, in search of the gap. Eventually theyre rewarded for their persistence. They spot the overlap and sweep the ball out wide to exploit. Olding's the one who crosses in the corner.
Dragons are penalised when a player kills a promising Ulster attack, diving over the ruck and impeding the ball. Dan Evans is infuriated and exchanges words with the referee. Hodges immediately serves him a yellow card and marches Ulster up a further 10 metres.. Pienaar secures the three points.
Good, paddy woulda missed
Ulster draw first blood with some classic forward-back interplay. Williams splits off the back of an Ulster scrum in Dragon territory. He draws the defender and delivers the ball to Marshall at scrum-half. Marshall propels himself through a gap before offloading in turn to Bowe who crosses in the corner.
Money in the bank! Nice one Bowe
@Mark Weston, He's being rested for this one.
Possession has been spread rather evenly in this first quarter. Both teams getting the opportunity to run the ball, but not maintaining possession long enough to create any meaningful chances..
