Full time at Lansdowne Park in Blenheim, with Tasman proving too strong for Manawatu in the end. A very tight first half with only 3 points between the sides at the break was a completely different story to the second half with Tasman running in 6 tries with no reply, Manawatu were unable to cope with the league leaders intensity and tempo in the second half and the Turbos where unable to register a single point in the second half and they fail to qualify for the semi finals. Magnificent rugby from Tasman and some individual players stood out to be very effective throughout the game especially Tim Perry, Francis Smith and Marty Banks. Outstanding performance by Tasman in this second half and they get another try just before the final whistle to increase the gap on the score board to add salt to the wounds of the Manawatu players. Marty Banks getting on the scoreboard again with a 7 pointer for himself after capitalising on Manawatu's mistakes.

TRY TASMAN! Try from Andy Symons takes the Tasman points total for the day to 50 and really puts Manawatu to the sword. Turbos were penalised inside their own 22m and Tasman opted to go for the scrum, a strong scrum allowed them to spread the ball to Andy Symons to run in for the try. Marty Banks again add the conversion to increase his score tally to 20 points.

TRY TASMAN! This time try scored by Marty Banks after Northcott looses the ball for Manawatu, Banks pounces in the ball to run in and score his first try of the game. He also adds the conversion to his try.

TRY TASMAN! Another try for prop Tim Perry to give Tasman a very comfortable lead in this game. Great line from Perry allows him to score Tasman's 5th try of the game, Banks makes no mistake will the simple conversion.

TRY TASMAN! High intensity from Tasman in this second half is proving difficult for Manawatu to handle and Tasman get their second try of the half in quick succession through prop Tim Perry after great feet to get past a couple of defenders. Marty Banks adds the extras from the conversion.

TRY TASMAN! Great hands from the Makos allowing them to spread the all wide and into the hands of Francis Smith to touch down in the corner. Good start to the second half from Tasman, Marty Banks is unable to convert the difficult kick.

Second half is underway here at Lansdowne Park with Tasman restarting the game. Both teams making changes for the second half to try and increase the intensity of the game.

Referee Michael Lash blows the whistle for half time with Tasman leading Manawatu by only 3 points in a game which is very tight and could go either way in the 2nd half. Both teams attacking well but discipline is leading both sides down with the penalty count in the first half being excessive. Marty Banks could have increased the lead for Tasman but was unable to convert his penalty opportunity late in the second half.

TRY TASMAN! Tasman take back the lead with a try through winger Mitchell Scott after a quick lineout. Banks makes no mistake with conversion to bring the score to 17-15.
