Scotland felt they might have been in for try after Sean Lamont crossed to touch down. The TMO deicides however that Craig Wing was obstructed in his efforts to tackle Nick De Luca in the build up to they try. Still 11-3 the score.

TRY SCOTLAND. Tommy Seymour does well to finish a move out wide in the corner. Sean Maitland was the man who made the initial break and nearly went on to score but was taken down just short. Some phases later Seymour took the ball and beat the last defender to score in the corner. Laidlaw can't convert. 11-0 Scotland, 33 minutes gone.
Great debut so far
Ryan Grant is forced off the field after a bang to the head. He is replaced by Alasdair Dickinson.
28 minutes in and the first major spark of the game comes from Kenki Fukuoka as the winger turns on the gas to burn his man on the wing and break down-field before breaking a few would-be tacklers. Eventually the momentum is broken when Fukuoka knocked on in the tackle while looking to off-load.
From the scrum, Scotland win another penalty. The Scots are enjoying great dominance at scrum-time.
Japan miss out on a huge chance to put pressure on the Scottish line, putting a penalty into touch over the dead ball line. Scrum back near half-way for Scotland as a result.
