The Sale Sharks take a commanding 23-0 lead over the Scarlets into halftime. Sale opened the scoring with a penalty just two minutes in to lead 3-0. Sale crossed for two tries with a penalty sandwiched in between to open up a 20-0 advantage after around half an hour of play. Sale would add a late third penalty for an emphatic lead at the break after a dominant first half performance.
