FT. The Toulon finish to the jeers of the crowd, but really they should applaud the visitors. An outstanding performance by a weakened Bordeaux team who were prolific in their defensive efforts. Toulon did not play badly, they were actually much improved on last week, however they did lack the killer instinct. They could not quite capitalise on their chances, most due to the excellent defence. Toulon relied on the boot of Michalak to get them over the line and take 4 points. Thanks for tuning into UR, until next time.
Toetu is sent to the sin bin for collapsing the scrum.
The benches have been emptied and the game has some what slowed. Toulon must have close to 70% possession but simply can not convert it to points.
Toulon fail to capitalise on yet another great try scoring chance.
Try disallowed. Carl Hayman is deemed to have tackled the man off the ball preventing him from tackling the eventual try scorer. Bordeaux can breath a sigh of relief.
TMO for Toulon.
Clement Maynadier sent to the sin bin for persistent infringement at the breakdown.
The second half starts with a bang with David Smith falling just short.
And the first half comes to a close. Bordeaux have shown no fear. They scored the only try of the half which was brilliantly created by Charles Brousse. Since then they have not seen many try scoring opportunities, unlike their counter parts. Toulon have failed to capitalise on several scoring opportunities due to both excellent defence and their own errors. If Bordeaux are to win, they will need to step up yet another gear as Toulon will without doubt tidy up their performance this half.
Michalak finds his range and puts the hosts back within one point.
