A very competitive opening 40 minutes with Leinster leading at the break. Leo Cullen's side have dominated possession but have given away needless penalties with Patchell kicking three penalties with two of them coming from inside his own half. Jack Conan went over for the opening try of the game earlier on and since then Leinster have dominated the possession but the Cardiff defence has done enough to keep it at a one point game.
