Japan are playing with such confidence and have dominated this half so far. Wales need to regroup and look for a score.

Try Japan! We have a major shock on the cards. Some brilliant runs from this Japanese back line and eventually they go out wide and Michael Broadhurst has an easy run in to score for the second time in 2 games. Wales in big trouble here. 20-8 with 15 minutes remaining.

This game is end to end stuff. Both sides have found an attacking edge to their play and both sides have threatened. Hard one to call at the moment.

Try Japan! Brilliant response from Japan as they come straight back after conceding. Good work from the backs as they showed great power and pace and eventually Craig Wing goes over in the corner to put Japan back in front. Goromanu with a great kick from the touch line extends the lead.

And from that attack Wales score! The pressure was mounting and the Japanese defence gave in. A lovely skip pass from out half Biggar goes over the 2 centres and into the hands of Tom Pyrdie who has an easy run in from 5 metres. Biggar misses the conversion so the score is 8-6 to Wales.

Good start to this second half by Wales. Some good attacking play from the backs see them go close a few times but again the Japanese defence can match the attack. Wales attacking in the 22 now again.

Half time and the score is currently 6-3 to Japan. The hosts haven't had much of the ball at all but to be fair when they've gone forward they've taken their chance. Wales lack an end product to their play, they've had most of the ball but just can't break through the Japanese defence. Wales will have to improve significantly if they are going to avoid an embarrassing defeat. Be sure to stay with us for 2nd half updates.
