The Sharks take a 16-3 lead over Gloucester into halftime. The Sharks picked up an early yellow card, but despite being down a player opened the scoring with a penalty. Gloucester missed a penalty attempt, but slotted a long range shot at goal to level matters at three apiece. The Sharks hit back with the first try of the match and added a further two penalties to take a handy 13 point advantage into the break.
