Gloucester take a 16-3 lead over Saracens into halftime. Gloucester opened the scoring with an early penalty before crossing for the first try to lead 10-0. A second penalty made it 13-0 before Saracens got on the board with a penalty of their own. That was cancelled out shortly after by a third Gloucester penalty as the hosts take a 13 point advantage into the break.
