Very scrappy match, plenty of sloppy hands and lots of time spent at the ruck.
Japan have played a physical game today, but the French have had too much skill thus far. That being said, they are only 7 points ahead.
Candelon receives the ball out wide from a scrum and has far too much pace for the covering defence. The Japanese have yet to have any possession inside the French half yet.
The Asians have been very patient on attack, however they have been pinned inside their half. The entire match has been played in the Japanese half thus far.
Plenty of handling errors, as expected in the wet. Japan have a scrum in their own 22m area.
France eventually steal the ball at the ruck and go on the attack, however the Japanese show that they will not let the French get any easy points as they steal it right back at ruck time and win a penalty in the process.
