Welcome to Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium and the opening game of the 2014 Currie Cup. A massive clash awaits us as the sleeping giants, Eastern Province, have not been in top flight Currie Cup for a number of years. Their provincial and franchise rugby has received a boost with the promise of returning back to Super Rugby and have been bolstering up their squad in preparation for that. Tonight they host 2012 Winners and 2013 Runner Up side Western Province who have a number on Springboks available to them.
Make no mistake this is a huge grudge match and is a big derby in SA rugby.
