Tameifuna wins a penalty for the Chiefs after he gets his hands on the ball at the ruck and the Hurricanes held on.

Lee-Lo slices the defence and goes 40m to get into the Chiefs 22m area. The Hurricanes win a penalty after the Chiefs do not release the ball and the Hurricanes set up a lineout 10m out.

The Chiefs win a penalty at scrum time, Pulu takes it quickly but loses the ball forward in contact. The Hurricanes pounce on the loose ball and win a penalty at the resulting ruck. They set up a lineout on halfway.

The Chiefs are back to 15 men. They have a scrum near their own 22m line. They put in a huge effort and are unlucky not to win a penalty. Pulu picks the ball up and puts through a grubber that sets up a Hurricanes lineout on the Hurricanes 10m line.

Webber kicks a poor kick that goes out on the full, the Hurricanes have a lineout on the Chiefs 10m line and easily get over the advantage line. Coles gets the ball out wide and makes a good offload in the tackle to allow Conrad Smith to get over the tryline, but he loses the ball forward in contact. Chiefs scrum 5m out from their own tryline.

The Hurricanes will have the very stiff wind behind them in the second half. Chiefs are still down to 14 men.
