Rhys Patchell gets us underway

An exciting first half here at the Cardiff Arms Park. Cardiff got off to a great start after Rhys Patchell got the game's first try after just 43 seconds. Montpellier hit back with interest and got a treble of tries from Mackintosh, Nagua and Malzieu, with one conversion and a penalty from Benoit Paillague. It looked like Montpellier were going to further rub salt in the wounds but Cardiff came back strongly and were deserved of their try from Josh Navidi just on the stroke of half-time. Rhys Patchell got both his side's conversions and means that this game is all to play for in the second half.

HT 14-20

They finally get over from the maul and it is Josh Navidi who gets the try. Rhys Patchell steps up and converts before the referee blows up for half-time.

The Blues get the try on the stroke of halftime after a strong lineout and a strong maul. Josh Navidi will take the credit for getting the ball down.

They win the lineout and maul towards the line now.

Offside against a Montpellier forward from that maul and Cardiff with the penalty to touch.
