That's it in Bayonne, the hosts take it - convincingly in the end it must be said. A late try from substitute hooker, Labouyrie was the final nail in the coffin for a relatively spirited second half performance from Brive. That's all from us here at UR, please tune in again soon for some more live rugby coverage!
Simon Labouyrie goes over for his teams second try of the game after some very positive build up play from the hosts. It took 76 minutes but we finally got there! 23-6
Stewart slots the resulting penalty. 13-3
The ref can't take it any more at scrum time. He sends Buys to the bin for Brive's 4th yellow card of the game, can you believe it!
Brive back in possession and are now on their own offensive. Bayonne are pinned for a ruck infringement inside kickalbe territory and Germain gets Brive's first points of the game. 10-3
No cards and the game continues. Bayonne on the offensive but Brive are displaying an excellent defensive effort here
Again the run of play is disrupted by poor handling errors. Many scrum resets and the ref finally loses patience, we could see more cards..
Here we go again!
HT in Bayonne and it's the hosts that go into the break with a 10 point lead. A stagnant first half from both teams really with neither team playing any flourishing rugby. Brive's perfromance has been tainted by 3 separate yellow cards inside 40 minutes. Germain has missed 2 kicks which would have meant only a 4 point difference if he was successful. It'll be interesting to see what the second half brings, this game is far from over. Stay tuned
Malei returns to the field to bring Brive's number back to 14
