Marco Zanon

Marco Zanon, born on October 3, 1997, in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, is a rugby union player who currently plays for Benetton. He primarily plays as a centre.

Zanon began his professional career during the 2017-18 Pro14 season when he played for the Top10 team Mogliano. During this time, he was named as a Permit Player for Benetton in the Pro14, allowing him to gain valuable experience with the club. From 2018 to 2022, Zanon played for Benetton on a full-time basis. Additionally, from March to June 2022, he played as a medical joker for Section Paloise.

Before making his mark at the senior level, Zanon represented Italy Under 20 in 2016 and 2017. In 2018, he was named in the Emerging Italy squad for the World Rugby Nations Cup. On January 24, 2019, Zanon received further recognition when he was named in Italy's squad for the 2019 Six Nations Championship.

Outside of rugby, Zanon is engaged to Ottavia Cestonaro, a triple jumper.

Zanon's rugby journey started with the Benetton Lions U18 team before he joined the Academy Zonale of Mogliano. In June 2015, he achieved success by winning the junior national championship with Mogliano Rugby, defeating Capitolina Rugby Union in the final.

Zanon made his PRO14 debut during the 2018/2019 season and, as of December 2019, has made 19 appearances for Benetton, scoring 10 points.
