Born in 2004, Lino Julien was trained in the Netherlands before moving to France, where he discovered rugby at Bredase RC. After playing for the Dutch youth teams and then Nevers, he joined the Racing 92 academy in 2022.
With Racing 92, he quickly rose through the ranks, making his Top 14 debut in March 2024 against Toulon, before also experiencing the Champions Cup a few months later. A speedy prop, capable of playing on the tighthead side of the scrum, he has established himself as one of the great hopes of French rugby in his position.
Wearing the French jersey, Lino Julien made a lasting impression. With the French U20 team, he won the U20 World Championship in 2023 in South Africa, alongside Léo Drouet, scoring two tries during the tournament. The following year, this time alongside Charly Gambini, he again reached the final of the competition, confirming his status as a key player of his generation. He also participated in the U20 Six Nations Tournament.
Hard-working and ambitious, he has brought his power, dynamism, and fighting spirit to the Provençal side since the summer of 2025. He is on loan from Racing for two consecutive seasons.
