A former three-time Danske Bank Ulster Schools’ Cup winner with RBAI, Hume’s first year in the Ulster Academy was plagued by injury.
However, an impressive first start in the away win over Benetton in November proved to be the springboard for a breakout year.
In the summer of 2019, the young centre was awarded with a development contract and has since cemented his place in the 2019-20 Ulster senior squad.
Prior to the season being brought to halt, the 21-year-old had started four games and had come off the bench once.
