Jake Heenan, born on March 17, 1992, is a rugby union player hailing from New Zealand. He primarily plays as an openside flanker and currently represents the English side Bristol Bears. Heenan's rugby career began at a young age, and he achieved notable success during his school years, captaining the New Zealand under-20s team at the 2012 Junior World Championship.

After signing with Auckland and participating in the Blues development program, Heenan joined Connacht in 2013 under the guidance of former Blues coach Pat Lam. He quickly made an impact, making his debut in the Pro12 and earning the player of the month award in his first season.

Despite facing injury setbacks, Heenan displayed resilience and returned to help Connacht win the Pro12 title in the 2015-2016 season.

In 2018, Heenan decided to join Bristol Rugby for the 2018/19 season, making his Gallagher Premiership debut in March 2019. He has since become an integral part of the Bristol Bears squad, playing in multiple positions, including as a captain and number 8.

On the international stage, Heenan represented New Zealand at various underage levels, including playing for the New Zealand schools team and captaining the under-20s at the Junior World Championship in 2012.
