Jaco Williams is a South African rugby union player who has emerged as one of the country's most promising outside backs. Born on 25 August 2005, he attended Glenwood High School in Durban, where his pace, footwork and attacking instincts made him one of the standout schoolboy players in South Africa. He progressed through the Sharks age-group system after representing the province at Craven Week.
Comfortable on the wing or at fullback, Williams enjoyed a rapid rise through the Sharks ranks, making his senior debut in the Currie Cup before breaking into the Sharks squad in the United Rugby Championship. He was a key member of the Junior Springboks side that won the 2025 World Rugby U20 Championship, showcasing his finishing ability and counter-attacking flair. His impressive form earned him inclusion in the Springbok alignment camps before he was selected to make his Test debut against Wales in July 2026.
