Florian arrived at Toulouse from Montauban in 2014.
He was named in the U20 squad for the 2017 6 Nations and captained the side.
His first appearance in the Red & Black came in the last game of the 2016-17 season at home to Bayonne.
Verhaeghe is still slight in stature but already possesses the skillset required to make it in the professional game.
Ugo Mola gave Florian regular first team action during the first few weeks of the 2017-18 season.
As of the 2018/2019 Champions Cup, Verhaeghe has had 6 European Cups appearances.
In 2020, he left Toulouse to sign a deal with Montpellier.
In the 2021/22 season, Florian played in 23 matches for Montpellier in the Top 14, scoring 2 tries and adding 10 points to his tally. He also played in 5 matches in the European Rugby Champions Cup.
In 2022/23, Florian played 11 matches for Montpellier in the Top14 and 2 in the European Rugby Champions Cup, thus far.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2023, Verhaeghe has been named in the training squad for France.
