Maggs joined Bath Rugby Academy’s University Scholars programme in June 2021. This sees him train part-time with the Academy and full-time with the University of Bath High-Performance Rugby squad.
An imposing tighthead prop with a solid set-piece, Maggs was a dominant force in the Under-18s season, both sides of the ball. His size and strength in the scrum provide an excellent platform for him to become a destructive scrummager and with time on his side, there will be a clear focus in the coming years to help him develop his craft as a front-rower whilst fulfilling his physical potential.
