Alexandre Becognee started his career in the Bordeaux Academy before making the move to Stade Montois.
A powerful back-rower who is a menace over the ball, Becognee is an openside flanker by trade but has evolved into a force to be reckoned with in the number 8 jumper.
After three years and 59 appearances in the PROD2, Becognee finally caught the eye of a Top 14 club with Montpellier signing the promising back rower in 2020.
He made quick strides at the club and moved up the pecking order becoming a regular starter in the back row.
He played 22 games for the club during the 2020/21 season and helped the side clinch the Challenge Cup.
His form earned him a call up to the Les Bleus squad to tour to Australia where he made his test debut in the third test match against the Wallabies.
