Alba Capell

28th Oct 2003 1.64m/71kg Blindside Flanker

She started playing rugby at age 4 at CEU (her mother’s club) and years later at Barça (her father’s
club). All started because one day she went to a beach rugby tournament with her mother and they left
her in charge of a friend from the club. They always tell that she spent hours and hours passing the ball
and that when she got home she said: “If I had so much fun, why couldn’t I do it every week?”
She is studying for a degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences
She has also practiced swimming and loves hiking.
A few years ago, she had to deal with a lot of issues related to
overtraining. Before the pandemic, she was really focused
on changing her body so she could make the national team,
and that led to some bad training habits. She lost her period
for several months and lost more than 10 kg. Thanks to
joining the national XV team, she started training
consciously with the goal of feeling physically strong.
