Khuzwayo made her provincial debut in 2019 at age 19 already and has
since became a real stalwart to the Golden Lions Women’s side. She was
first called into the national set-up during the 2023 WXV 2 series, where
she played in friendly internationals against Rhinos and Barbarians before
making her test debut against Spain the following season. Getting caps
at loose head is not the easiest thing in Springbok Women’s rugby with
Sanelisiwe Charlie and Yonela Ngxingolo around, but such is Khuzwayo’s
work ethic that she played for the national side eight times in test matches
already and could add a first Rugby World Cup cap in England. Solid at
set-piece and a good defender, the 26-year-old will push the incumbents
real hard for a starting berth.
