Sibabalwe "Siba" Mahashe attended Hudson Park High School in East London, where his performances earned him selection for Border at Craven Week and later the SA Schools team.
Mahashe joined the Lions academy in 2023 and quickly rose through the ranks, captaining the Lions Under-21 side and representing the Junior Springboks at the 2024 World Rugby U20 Championship. In 2026, he made his senior debut for the Emirates Lions
