Liam Scott McConnell Edinburgh's pro academy ahead of the 2023/24 season, before stepping up to his first senior deal ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
McConnell played for Stewarts Melville Lions throughout primary school, before moving to Boroughmuir at the start of high school, where he has now progressed to playing for their FOSROC Super6 side.
He played for Scotland U16 and U18, and captained Scotland U20 to a World Rugby U20 Trophy triumph, which secured the age-grade side’s place back into the World Rugby U20 Championship for 2025.
McConnell debuted for the capital in December 2024 against Gloucester, before making his first start for the club away against Scarlets in the BKT URC.
