Simone Gesi, born on May 23, 2001, is an Italian rugby union player who currently plays as a wing for Zebre Parma in the United Rugby Championship.
Gesi was initially under contract with Colorno, an Italian Top10 team. In March 2022, he was named as a Permit Player for Zebre Parma for the 2021-22 United Rugby Championship season. He made his debut for Zebre Parma in a match against the Sharks, starting on the wing.
At the youth level, Gesi was selected for the Italy U20 squad to compete in the annual Six Nations Under 20s Championship in 2021. He also received further recognition when he was selected by Alessandro Troncon to be part of an Italy A 28-man squad in October 2021.
Additionally, he was named in the Emerging Italy 27-man squad for the 2021 end-of-year rugby union internationals.
In March 2023, Gesi received his first call-up to the senior Italy national team for the 2023 Six Nations Championship. He made his debut against Scotland in the final match of the tournament.
In June 2023, Gesi was included in the Italy Sevens squad for the 2023 Rugby Europe Sevens Championship Series, highlighting his versatility in both fifteens and sevens formats of the game.
