An Irish schooled hooker, McNulty has played for the Ireland U19s and U20s and the Leinster Academy from 2015 to 2018 making the senior Leinster lineup on multiple occasions.
He played in multiple matches for MLR club Rugby United New York in 2019 on loan from the Free Jacks. His older brother Harry has had a huge influence of late on the successes of the Ireland 7s team.
