One of the more mobile locks around, Wykes cuts an imposing figure at almost 2 metres tall and 107kg.
Born in Sydney, Wykes made his debut in the Super Rugby competition in 2008 against the Cheetahs. Having become an integral member of the Force squad, Wykes had to contend with a tough spell in 2012 when he suffered a string of injuries, including an injury which required knee reconstruction surgery.
In 2014 he joined Perth Spirits, where he made 5 appearances, scoring 5 points before trading the Japanese club for Red Sparks in 2015.
After 19 appearances and 25 points scored, he signed for the Panasonic Wild Knights ahead of their 2017 Top League season.
