Rodrigo Marta is a prolific Portuguese rugby union player who has made waves both domestically and internationally. Currently plying his trade for US Dax in France, Marta has firmly established himself as one of Portugal's rugby gems. With an impressive record of 25 tries in just 29 caps, he holds the coveted title of Portugal's all-time leading try scorer, a testament to his prowess on the rugby field.

In 2021, Marta's talent caught the attention of many when he was selected to be part of the Lusitanos XV squad for the inaugural Rugby Europe Super Cup. This competition brought together some of Europe's top rugby talents, and Marta's contributions played a pivotal role in taking the Lusitanos XV to the final, albeit finishing as runners-up.

Taking the next step in his career, Marta made a move to French Nationale 1 side US Dax in 2022. His impact was immediate, as he dominated the try-scoring charts with an impressive tally of 10 tries in just 13 games. This achievement solidified his reputation as a try-scoring sensation and marked him as one to watch in the French rugby scene.

On the international front, Marta made his debut for Portugal in a promotion match against Romania during the 2017–18 Rugby Europe International Championships. Since then, his contributions to the national team have been exceptional. In a memorable match against Poland in the Rugby Europe Championship in 2023, Marta's four-try performance not only showcased his remarkable scoring ability but also elevated him to the status of Portugal's all-time top try scorer.

As Portugal prepares for the World Rugby Cup 2023, Rodrigo Marta's name undoubtedly holds great significance. His exceptional try-scoring ability, commitment to the game, and experience will be invaluable assets as he dons the national colors and represents his country on the global stage of rugby.
