A product of St Joseph's College, Marshall Sykes was aligned to the Warriors ahead of the 2018/19 season as a Fosroc Scottish Rugby Academy Stage 3 player.
The Ayr second row has represented Scotland through the age grades, including at U18 and U20 level.
After impressing in the 2018 U20 Six Nations, he was named in Scotland's squad for the 2018 World Rugby U20 Championship.
