South African born Luhandre grew up in Cape Town and attended the best rugby school in SA “Paarl Gymnasium’’.
In his final year with the Sharks Academy, he played U19 Currie Cup before receiving an invite to play for the Italian U19 side that was touring Cape Town.
Luus joined Calvisano before linking up with Parma-based club Zebre, he was included in Conor O' Shea's summer tour squad.
