Kit started his rugby journey aged just four at Tamworth RUFC following in his dad John’s footsteps.
He won two Staffordshire county cups in a row at U15s and U16s and joined Leicester Tigers’ academy in June 2018. Kit credits his dad John as well as Anthony Nixon and Jamie Taylor (Leicester Tigers) for giving him a good understanding of the game.
He was originally a centre – and played at Welford Road in the Prima Tiger Cup in the under-10s age-group – before moving to the back row and came through trials to join Tigers’ Developing Player Programme based in Walsall and Keele, then joined the club’s academy in 2018.
He was among four Tigers academy players selected for the England Under-18 development tour to South Africa in August 2019 and joined the club’s Development squad in 2019/20.
