Johannes Jonker is a South African rugby union player who started his career with the Border Bulldogs in the Currie Cup.
After showcasing his talent, he was recruited by the Lions, a Super Rugby franchise based in Johannesburg. He spent five years with the Lions, making over 50 appearances in all competitions.
In the 2017/18 season, Jonker had a brief stint at Montpellier, where he made nine appearances. He then returned to the Lions and continued to contribute to the team's success in Super Rugby.
Ahead of the 2021/22 season, Jonker joined Bath Rugby from Ealing Trailfinders.
He made his debut for Bath against Sale Sharks on the opening day of the season. Known for his solid ability to anchor the scrum from the tighthead position, Jonker brings valuable experience to the team.
In addition to his playing career, Jonker has a keen interest in coaching and has provided excellent value at the Bath Rugby Half-Term Camps.
